    Welcome to my website!

    My name is Tu Ni, and I was born in Hangzhou, China, 1994.

     

    I am a Ph.D. candidate in Operations Research & Analytics at National University of Singapore Business School. I'd like to develop mathematical modeling and algorithms with managerial insights in smart city operations problems for robust and flexible service design as well as dynamic and efficient online optimization. I am also interested in general artificial intelligence topics including machine learning/deep learning/reinforcement learning, natural language processing etc.

     

    I graduated at Hangzhou No.2 High School and after that, I spent my undergraduate life at Zhejiang University with a major of Mathematics. I hold a Master of Engineering degree at University of California, Berkeley with a concentration on Industrial Engineering & Operations Research. Moreover, I have worked in SF Express as a machine learning & operations research engineer for one year.

    Efficient Service Network Design

    Design efficient business and mathematical models for the intra-city the-same-day delivery system, with methodology including integer programming, dynamic programming, heuristic algorithms, and reinforcement learning.

    UAV Online Orienting Optimization

    Develop online convex optimization technique for UAV to detect crack of the building dynamically, providing both theoretical contributions and experimental results.

    Neural Code Completion

    Design a WaveNet model to achieve automatic code completion with Tensorflow.
    Implement with 150,000 JavaScript programs as training and testing dataset.
    Scale and improve the algorithm for better performance in comparison with RNN (LSTM).

    Machine Learning for Patent Litigation

    Apply nature language processing method(Doc2Vec) to figure out similar patents in the USPTO database, based on patent description documents.

    I am a crazy sports fan with diverse interests including basketball, soccer, football, badminton, tennis, swimming, ping pong etc. My favorite sports team is FC Bayern Munchen.
